I have the honour to transmit for your in forma- tion the enclosed copy of a letter from the late Mr. E. A. Hewett, C.L.C., md his three un-official colleagues on the Licensing Boord established under Ordinance No. 9 of 1911 in which they informed the Government that they had censed to be members of the Board because the Governor-in-Cow.cil had on appeal against the refusel by majori ies of the Board to renew the public's licac- -ec mold by Mr. P. 0. Peuster and ir. F. Reichmann. These are the two individuels referred to in purraphs 3 and 2(d) of my Con- -fidential Despath of the 4th. of February last.

The renewal of Mr. Keichmann's licence was
refused last yer by a majority of the Board, and I enclose copy of Mr. Reichragm's appeal to the Governor-in-Council on that
occasion. The apperd was successful.
